Earlier versions included Windows 9x, Windows Mobile, and Windows Phone (no longer in use). Previously known as Mac OS X and later OS X.
Most used operating system in personal computers. Second most used operating system in personal computers after Windows.
First version launched by Microsoft in 1985, with the most recent version being Windows 11. First version launched by Apple in 2001, with the latest stable version being 10.15.1 (Catalina).
